Woe To Those Who Bare This Token

Since I put this sticker on my car I haven't seen a single noisy miner bird. I hear their familiar beeping call, yet when I turn to look they vanish as if by some dark magic or curse. Others around me see yet they evade my gaze like phantoms. Have I gone mad? Cursed? Has God Himself struck the vision from my eyes as punishment for my foolish pride? Am I condemned to never again bear witness to these once ever present jesters? To walk the Earth like a man without a shadow?
